n/aThe taxi tariff of Catania provides clear pricing for passengers. For rides taken from Monday to Saturday between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, the base fare is €5.00. This base fare covers the first 2.00 km of your journey. After you reach this distance, each additional kilometer costs €1.00. If the taxi waits for you, the waiting time is charged at €18.00 per hour.
At night, from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am, and for the whole day on Sunday, the base fare is €8.00. Like during the day, this base fare includes the first 2.00 km. Additional distance beyond 2.00 km is also charged at €1.00 per kilometer. The waiting time at night and on Sundays is €18.00 per hour, the same as during the day.
There is a premium surcharge for trips that start from or go to the airport. For these rides, an extra €6.00 is added to the total fare. This surcharge is applied regardless of the time or day.
