The Gard taxi tariff sets clear rules for how fares are calculated. When you take a taxi, the fare is made up of a base fare and additional charges based on distance or waiting time. The tariff has different rates for daytime and nighttime hours.

During the day (Monday to Saturday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm), the base fare is €8.00. This base fare includes the first 2.41 km of your journey. If your trip is longer than this, each additional kilometer costs €2.16. If the taxi has to wait, for example in traffic or at your request, waiting time is charged at €29.40 per hour.

At night (Monday to Saturday from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, and all day on Sundays), the base fare is €8.00, which covers the first 1.67 km of your trip. For any distance beyond this, the cost is €3.12 per kilometer. Waiting time is also charged at €29.40 per hour during these periods.

To calculate your fare with the Gard taxi tariff, start with the base fare. Add the cost for any extra kilometers beyond the included distance based on the time of day. If your journey involves waiting time, this will be added to the total. The final price you pay is a combination of these different charges as set by the Gard tariff.
