n/aThe Gera taxi tariff sets out how much passengers pay for taxi journeys in the city. When you take a taxi, the cost of your trip is calculated based on a base fare, the distance you travel, and any waiting time during the trip. The tariff applies differently during daytime and nighttime hours.
From Monday to Saturday between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, the daytime tariff applies. At the start of your ride, a base fare of €7.00 is charged. For every kilometer you travel after that, the fare increases by €2.50 per kilometer. If the taxi waits for any reason, such as in traffic or at your request, the waiting time is charged at €42.00 per hour.
During the nighttime hours, the tariff is slightly different. Nighttime is defined as Monday to Saturday from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, and all day on Sundays. For these periods, the base fare remains €7.00. However, the price per kilometer is €2.70. Waiting time continues to be charged at €42.00 per hour.
All charges are shown in euros. By following this tariff, passengers in Gera can clearly see how the total fare for their taxi ride is calculated. The amounts are fixed and known in advance, making it easier for passengers to estimate and understand their travel costs.
