n/aThe Wittenberg taxi tariff sets out clear rules for calculating the cost of a taxi ride. When you start your journey, a base fare is charged. During the day, which is Monday to Saturday from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, the base fare is €5.00. At night, from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am and all day on Sunday, the base fare is €5.50.
After the base fare, the cost per kilometre is added. During the day, the first 3 kilometres of your trip are charged at €3.50 per kilometre. For any distance beyond the first 3 kilometres, the rate is €2.80 for each additional kilometre. At night and on Sundays, the first 3 kilometres are charged at €3.70 per kilometre, and any further distance is priced at €2.90 per additional kilometre.
If the taxi needs to wait for you during the journey, a waiting time charge applies. This charge is €42.00 per hour, both during the day and at night. The waiting time is measured and added to your fare when the taxi is not moving, such as when stopped in traffic or waiting for passengers.
These guidelines help ensure that passengers understand exactly how their fare is calculated under the Wittenberg taxi tariff. By following these clear steps, you can easily see how the total price of your taxi journey is determined.
